Terry Berkemeier
Terry Berkemeier spent many years working in gold mining and extractive industry corporate and financial analysis before moving to the USA in 1989, where he shifted his focus to "buy side" financial analysis and portfolio management. His involvement with UCSF began when his then-rheumatologist, Ken Fye, introduced him to Eph Engleman in the 1990s. Since then, his family has consistently supported UCSF's Division of Rheumatology, and in 2024, he stepped down as board chair, with Christy Abele taking over. Terry has a deep appreciation for the division's research teams, clinical practices, and groundbreaking work, stating that UCSF Rheumatology's combination of intellect, research facilities, and skills makes it a privilege to support.
