Research and Trials
Precision Medicine: AutoImmunoprofiler
UCSF physicians specializing in autoimmune disease are collaborating with UCSF scientists and pharmaceutical firms to better understand autoimmune diseases, including scleroderma, by utilizing some of the most cutting-edge technology and data informatics. We anticipate that these studies will help us to develop new medicines for scleroderma and better understand how each patient will respond to each medication.

The UCSF Scleroderma Cohort
When you come to the UCSF Scleroderma Center will we invite you to participate in the UCSF Scleroderma Cohort. Information about our patients is collected in an anonymous manner to protect your privacy. We may ask you to donate blood and even provide a small skin biopsy – this is all completely voluntary. We use this information to better understand how scleroderma affects people and to develop new treatments. We hope you will participate. We need everyone’s help in our fight against this disease!
Clinical Trials
We are not conducting any clinical trials of new drugs/therapeutics for scleroderma right now but check back with us in the future. Ask us about clinical trials conducted by our colleagues in the interstitial lung disease clinic and pulmonary hypertension clinics.
