Christine Anastasiou Perlegos, MD
Assistant Professor
Dr. Christine Anastasiou is an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the University of California San Francisco and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of California Berkeley and her MD from UCLA. She completed a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research (MAS) and Rheumatology Fellowship at UCSF, and then joined as faculty.
Her clinical interests include systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory myopathies, and rheumatoid arthritis. She enjoys participating in patient, medical student, and resident educational programs.
Dr. Anastasiou’s research has focused on outcomes and medication safety for people with rheumatic disease, using large data analytics. She has earned several honors and awards, including the American College of Rheumatology Distinguished Fellow Award and the Rheumatology Research Foundation Scientist Development Award.
